San Diego State won the Mountain West Conference regular season title outright Wednesday night with a 73-61 win at Wyoming.
Trey Kell led the Aztecs with 24 points on 7-14 shooting, including 4-8 from 3-pt range, and 6-10 from the free-throw line. Winston Shepard shot 6-14 from the field and finished with 14 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
With the win, San Diego State wrapped up it’s 10th Mountain West title under head coach Steve Fisher (six regular season championships and four MW tournament wins) and secured the number-one seed for this year’s tournament.
